4 1/2 Stars - Great AT-HOME Monitor

This review is from: Omron BP785 10 Series Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor, Black/white, Large

My only experience with Blood Pressure Monitors before this OMRON BP785 were models that should probably be in museums somewhere. The box and attachments looked formidable until I took everything out and realized how easy it was to connect the three pieces together. The adaptor (so I don't have to rely on batteries) was also a nice feature. The leaflet enclosed gives a quick 5-step lesson to taking your blood pressure and the A/B setting lets you accurately keep track of two people's blood pressure history (providing that your remember to slide it to the right letter when you take your blood pressure). The monitor has given me readings comparable to what I've gotten in the doctor's office and it was super-easy to use which was a relief. I've had no trouble with any sensor malfunctions or misleading prompts and I've used it a number of times on different people. Honestly, it was what I'd hoped it be, a nice, easy way to monitor blood pressure. After all, folks who have blood pressure issues or are trying to avoid them, don't want to have the added stress of figuring out how to use a monitor or have to wonder if the monitor is accurate. My one suggestion - it is so easy to use that children can EASILY figure it out, so you might want to make sure that it is out of the reach of little hands in the household. The one drawback is the manual (that is why the rating is not 5 stars), which is the way to figure out how to use all the bells and whistles that come with the machine and is a labor to read or follow. That being said, overall, it is fine product.
